MISSHA: Tension Blusher LINE FRIENDS edition PK02 Review
Hello lovelies, I'm back with another makeup review. In this post I'll be talking about the MISSHA Tension Blusher |LINE FRIENDS| edition in PK02. I am really excited about writing a review on it because this is my first product from MISSHA and the cushion blusher comes in such a cute packaging. Let's get started!
The cushion blusher in BROWN character design |
The cushion blusher comes in 6 different colours and this time it comes in a repackaged edition, the third main character in LINE Friends which is BROWN the Bear. I bought this cushion blusher because I was attracted to the packaging (LOL). Besides, I've always wanted to try out a cushion blusher. Take a look at all the 6 colours and their swatches.
I got mine in PK02 (Pink Ruffle). To be honest, the colour looks nothing like pink and it looks more orange to me. The swatch for Pink Ruffle (PK02) in the pic above can be a little misleading, because the colour looked completely different when applied on hands or cheeks. I would say that the colour resembles the OR01 (Apricot Tart) colour. Anyway, it was not a big deal for me because I was looking for an orange tone blusher. If you're looking for a decent pink blusher, I would recommend PK01 (Pink Groove). I personally liked CR02 (Rosy Dress) because of its exotic vintage-like rose colour but they were out of stock (sob sob).
The interior packaging |
Now that you've seen the colour of the cushion blusher, you get what I meant when I say it's not pink at all right? I would have thought it was OR01 (Apricot Tart) upon looking at the cushion.
It comes with a cushion puff and a mirror |
Let's take a closer look at the cushion blusher. It comes with a really cute cushion puff and is printed with the BROWN motif. It also comes with a real mirror. Just put it in your handbag and you're ready to apply your blusher anywhere you go without looking for a mirror.
A closer look at the cushion puff |
The texture of the cushion puff is really soft and smooth and it's white in colour. If you dab on the whole cushion puff surface onto the mesh of the blusher, it would pick up too much product and your makeup would end up looking not natural. I would suggest you follow PONY's (makeup artist) tip of applying it by dabbing just the tip of the cushion puff and fold it into half as you apply it on your cheeks. In this way, you have better control on the amount of blusher that you're applying.
A closer look the the mesh surface of the cushion blusher |
In the first few applications, the texture of the cushion blusher is quite watery and you would have to apply a few times before you could see the colour show up on your cheeks. However, it would still look very natural because it's not very pigmented. In my opinion, it's not very long lasting and the colour would starts to fade after an hour or two and I usually had to reapply it.
Swatches without flashlight |
Without flashlight, the Missha Tension cushion blusher appears like a faint orange colour as compared to Innisfree Cream Blusher (01) which has a pinkish coral colour. I swatched them side by side on my arm so that you can see the difference in colour better. I still do not get why its called Pink Ruffle when it's not even pink or coral in colour.

I bought this at SASA for RM50.00. You can easily buy them online on websites like SHOPEE or LAZADA. If you're looking for a cushion blusher that gives you a natural and dewy look (with a super cute packaging), then this is the RIGHT blusher for you. I'll see you again in my next makeup review okay!
